COVID-19 Updates

Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) continues to exercise strict infection control and strict visitation policies according to the State of Delaware, CDC, and CMS guidelines. Our leadership team meets weekly to review the latest information, and to ensure that these policies are implemented to keep our children and staff safe.

Our Policies

Our infection control policies include social distancing, hand washing, proper use of PPE, and the screening of all staff, vendors, and resident support visitors. The information listed on this webpage is not entirely comprehensive of our guidelines and policies.

If you have questions, concerns, or questions about ECC’s current COVID-19 policies, please call us at 302-894-1001 or by email.

VISITORS

Visitation is welcome for parents/guardians and those appointed as an approved visitor by a resident’s guardian. Other outside visitors (vendors, prospective volunteers, etc.) should, when possible, schedule their visit in advance.

For the health and safety of our residents, all visitors must demonstrate proper mask wearing, as well as complete a brief health screening, during each visit.

VOLUNTEERS

For the health and safety of our residents, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proper mask wearing, as well as a brief health screening will be required during each visit.
