Recurring donations are a wonderful way to provide support to Exceptional Care for Children throughout the calendar year. Instead of making a one-time donation donors opt to provide credit card information and have their contribution automatically  withdrawn from their account on a monthly basis.  

Q. What if I want to change the amount of my monthly donation?

To change the amount of your monthly contribution you simply contact Exceptional Care for Children’s financial office at 302-894-1001 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and make a request to change your contribution value.

Q. What if I need to change the card I am using for my monthly donation?

To change or update credit card information simply contact the financial office at Exceptional Care for Children.  

Q. Will I receive a receipt that I can use for tax purposes when my credit card is charged each month?

When you sign up to support Exceptional Care for Children through the recurring donor program you will be charged for your first month’s contribution and receive a receipt at that time. Throughout the year you will not receive additional receipts, however, in January you will
receive a comprehensive receipt showing your total donations made to date. If you require any further documentation you may request it by contacting the financial office at Exceptional Care for Children.  

Q. How do I stop my recurring donations?

Exceptional Care for Children relies on the continued support of recurring donors to meet the needs of its kids, so we encourage you to continue your contributions. If you must cancel you may do so by contact the financial office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and requesting  that you be removed from the recurring donor program. A confirmation of your cancelation will be sent to you via email.

Q: Are my donations tax deductible?

Exceptional Care for Children is a Non-Profit with 501(c)3 status meaning that all donations are considered tax-deductible so long as no goods or services are exchanged for your donation. If you have any questions about the donation process, please feel free to contact the Development Office at 302-894-1001.

Q: If I make a monetary donation can I choose a particular project that I would like to support?

Yes, all donations can be directed toward a particular project or need at Exceptional Care for Children. If you choose not to identify a particular effort the donation will be utilized where there may be a need or funding shortage. All donations benefit the residents of Exceptional Care for Children through supporting programs, purchasing needed items, funding building and grounds enhancements, etc. For more information please contact the Development office at 302-894-1001.
